Do I need to log-out of the Curriculum?
Yes! The system will automatically log you out after a period of four hours of inactivity; however, in order for ATSTAR to accurately measure the effectiveness of the training, it is recommended that you log out when you are finished with the training on any given day.
I am not returning to where I left off in the Curriculum
Please contact our System Administrator to help solve this problem.

What do we do if our team members change in the middle of the Curriculum?
If your team registered four members, and any of those members change during the Curriculum course, please contact our System Administrator. If a team member cannot complete the Pre or Post tests, it will prevent the rest of the team from moving forward in the curriculum.
Why can't I move on to the next lesson?
All team members must individually complete the post-test for the last lesson and the pre-test for the next lesson before any member of the team can progress through the content.
Why can't I take the post-test?
In order to get to the lesson reflection and post-test questions, you must have viewed each page in the lesson. You cannot skip to the end of the lesson and answer the questions without viewing the content.
Can answers be changed on the Pre/Post Tests?
Once your answers on the Pre/Post Tests are submitted, you may not submit them again. ATSTAR provides a review after the Post Test to reinforce the learning process. The ATSTAR Curriculum technically prohibits navigation back to the Pre or Post test after answers have been submitted.
Why can't I review the results of my Pre and Post Tests?
The tests embedded throughout this curriculum are primarily to measure the effectiveness of the curriculum. They also provide feedback to the user by revealing the correct answer to the post test responses. However, in order to collect reliable data for evaluating the curriculum, we have chosen to disallow access to the test results. In this way, we can assure that the post test is not influenced by the pre test and that future learning modules are evaluated on their own merits. We appreciate your willingness to participate in this quality assurance measure.

Navigation and Status Instructions for the ATSTAR Process Training Course
Navigation and Status Instructions for the ATSTAR Process for Administrators Course
Navigation and Status Instructions for the ATSTAR Process Training Course
There are three types of navigation in the ATSTAR Process Training. The first, called "Lesson Navigation," is a series of numerical links at the top of each page which will have a status of "current," "complete," "current and complete," or "incomplete."
- The "current" state indicates that you are currently on that Lesson, but have not completed the Lesson.
- The "current and complete" state indicates that you have completed the Lesson and are currently in that Lesson.
- The "complete" state indicates that you have completed that Lesson, but are not currently in that Lesson.
- The "incomplete" state indicates that you have not yet completed that Lesson.
If the link is in "current" or "complete" states, you may use those links to jump from one Lesson to another. If the state is "incomplete," you cannot jump to that Lesson without having completed the Lesson prior to it. For accessibility tools and ease of understanding, a text line above the lesson Navigation icons explains which lesson you are on and how many you have completed. If you are using a screen reader, you may now skip to Section Navigation.
The graphic below illustrates how the states are rendered in each status.
- If the number is black and the puzzle piece is white, this is your "current" Lesson location and the lesson is "incomplete."
- If the number is black and the puzzle piece is gold, this is your "current"Llesson location and the lesson is "complete." For example, you are reviewing a lesson.
- If the number is gold and the puzzle piece is gold, the Lesson is "complete."
- If the number is gold and the puzzle piece is white, you have not yet reached that Lesson and so the Lesson is "incomplete."
You are on Lesson 3. You have completed 2 Lessons.

The second type of navigation is "Section Navigation." Each Lesson has a different number of high-level "sections," or "topics." This navigation works exactly the same way as the Lesson navigation, except that Sections are denoted in letters (A, B, C, etc.), followed by the title of that Section. If you are using a screen reader, you may now skip to Page-by-Page Navigation.
The graphic below illustrates how the states are rendered in each status.
The third type of navigation is Page-by-Page navigation, and these links are labeled "Next," "Previous," "Top of Page" and "Continue to the Next Page of Lesson." The three first options are located at the top and bottom of each page so that you may quickly move from page to page while reviewing Lessons or Sections without having to scroll. The "Continue with next page of the Lesson" button is located at the bottom of the page near the Lesson's content. Use this button to move forward from page to page.
Navigation and Status Instructions for the ATSTAR Process for Administrators Course
There are two types of navigation in the ATSTAR Process for Administrators. The first is called "Section Navigation." The Lesson has a different number of high-level "sections," or "topics." Sections are denoted in letters (A, B, C, etc.), followed by the title of that Section. The Section will have a status of "current," "complete," "current and complete," or "incomplete."
- The "current" state indicates that you are currently on that Section, but have not completed the Section.
- The "current and complete" state indicates that you have completed the Section and are currently in that Section.
- The "complete" state indicates that you have completed that Section, but are not currently in that Section.
- The "incomplete" state indicates that you have not yet completed that Section.
If the link is in "current" or "complete" states, you may use those links to jump from one Section to another. If the state is "incomplete," you cannot jump to that Section without having completed the Section prior to it. If you are using a screen reader, you may now skip to Page-by-Page Navigation.
The graphic below illustrates how the states are rendered in each status.
- If the number is black and the puzzle piece is white, this is your "current" section location and the section is "incomplete."
- If the number is black and the puzzle piece is gold, this is your "current" section and the section is "complete". For example, you are reviewing a section.
- If the number is gold and the puzzle piece is gold, the section is "complete."
- If the number is gold and the puzzle piece is white, you have not yet reached that section and so the section is "incomplete."

What are all the Instructional Tools in the Curriculum?
Throughout each Lesson, we have provided you with learning tools that you can access at any time to help you more fully comprehend the instruction. Examples of these tools are shown below:
The Terminology icon will indicate that there are important AT terms that you should know. It will be followed by links to the definitions of those terms.

The Resource Links icon will indicate that there are resources that you need to research. It will be followed by links to their respective web sites.

The Laura's Folder and Juan's Folder icons will be followed by important AT assessment forms that are filled out for our sample students, Laura and Juan. You can use them as a guide to fill out your own forms. The Forms Folder lists the forms used on each screen of the Lesson.
The STOP icon indicates that there is activity which you and your team will need to complete.

The TIP icon contains information that will help you and your team complete the activity.

Accessibility Many web sites and software programs cannot be readily accessed by people with various types of disabilities. It is our goal that the ATSTAR Curriculum be accessible to all learners. For this reason, as you move through the curriculum, you may notice textual descriptions and other types of accommodations that have been made in order to allow people with disabilities to access the information within this curriculum. Below are a few descriptions about some of the accommodations you will see:
Alt Text
You may notice, from time to time, that small text boxes will appear as you move your mouse over a graphic. These text boxes are called "alt text," and they are read by screen readers and braille displays to alert the user that there is a graphic on the page and whether or not that graphic has contextually significant information. An example is displayed below:

Video
My videos are not launching
Have you checked that the ATSTAR CD is in the CDROM drive?
If so, and your video is still not launching, you may need to tell us your CD drive location again. To do this, check your CD location settings and re-test the video location.
Please note that some browsers are configured to prevent loading files from your local machine by default. Many versions of Mozilla Firefox come with this security feature enabled, preventing the ATSTAR videos from loading properly. If your version of Firefox (or possibly another browser) will not display videos from the CD, this may be the issue. You can try another browser, or change your browser configuration to work with this site. For more information, see this MozillaZine article.
If the video is still not working, please contact our System Administrator to help solve this problem.

Why are there three video buttons, and which one do I choose?
Whenever there's a video supplementing the instruction, you will be given the option to view the "Video Only," the "Video With Closed Captioning," or the "Transcript Only." Choose whichever options accommodates your personal needs. It is not necessary to choose all three options. The following images represent the three choices:
