Terry Lankutis is a leader in the assistive technology field. Having begun her own educational career as a 6-year-old in a one-room schoolhouse Ms. Lankutis brings a unique perspective on rural education to the ATSTAR Consultant group.
Ms. Lankutis holds a degree in Special Education from the University of Northern Colorado in Greeley, Colorado and she worked as an educator in public schools in Colorado and Montana for 12 years before going to work for Apple Computer as an Educational Technology Consultant. Terry spent 6 years working for Apple Computer, where she gained experience and expertise in the area of assistive technology. During this time, Ms. Lankutis introduced teachers to the powerful learning tools that are available through technology. Feeling a need to combine her knowledge of technology with her passion for students with special needs, Terry left Apple Computer in order to devote her time entirely to the field of assistive technology.
During the past 6 years Terry has developed an assistive technology Training and Consulting company, which allows her to conduct training sessions on assistive technology, nation-wide.
